CAIRO – Reserved at Berlin State Library for over a century, prints of the Noble Qur’an were found to date back to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) lifetime, making it one of rare items found from early Islam era. The Qur’an prints were examined in a laboratory in Zurich, one hundred years after it entered Germany, Maerkischer Allgemeine Zeitung reported. Originally a part of an inheritance to an Egyptian scientist, the prints were thought to have been brought to Germany, either at the end of the 19th century or beginning of 20th century.
